Hello, We are Mike and Tina Hook and we currently live in North Syracuse, NY. We have served in our local church as children's pastors and adult Bible teachers for 16 years and are both credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God. We have ministered in music as worship leaders, vocalists, and instrumentalists and are on the staff of an interdoniminational fellowship parachurch ministry as well. In the summer of 2008 we participated in a short-term missions trip to Scotland where we saw the great need in that country. We are blessed that God has called us to minister to the children of Scotland and to become one of the first missionaries to them! We are walking in the Lord's already given promise of His plans to bring us to Scotland. Even before we were approved by the Assemblies of God World Missions on November 17, 2010, we knew that God has called us for this purpose. Our journey to Scotland began long before. God has been preparing our hearts as missionaries at very young ages. Tina was told by God she will be a missionary at age 9 and I was told early on in our marrige. We have been married 23 years. But God in His grace led us to walk each step in faith and set our hearts to go to Scotland! Throughout our years together God provided a rich experience as teachers of the Word and trained us to be "spiritual parents" to many young people we had the great pleasure of witnessing grow in the Lord. Our call is to partner with national churches to reach children with the gospel and disciple them to lead others to Christ. We will also train children's workers and assist church planters to develop effective children's ministries. And, as always, God will have us do more we have yet to see! We are ready to go, but we need you to join us in prayer and giving for the children of Scotland! Would you consider partnering with us to reach this dark corner of our world?
